Screenings in the Bay (Friday to Sunday)

It's finally the weekend! This is not as busy as last weekend, but we are coming up on the end of the month, which means it's Video Vortex time again. The Roxie starts screening a new horror movie (just  month old!) today and continues showing it through next week. Read on to see the rest!

Video Vortex
Sunday 27th @ 10:55pm (1hr 40min)
Comedy (IMDB)
"Have you heard the news? “Paenguin,” Jokerman, and Catwoman are on a rampage in “Gothum” City. Banks robbed! Twinkies eaten! Songs sung to the keys of “Surfin’ Safari” and “Let’s Go To The Hop!” Luckily, two dudes named Joey and Kevin have decided to take salvation into their own hands by transforming into Batman and Robin! In the massive canon of Filipino exploitation lunacy, ALYAS BATMAN EN ROBIN stands alone. It’s like an alternate dimension version of the 1966 BATMAN TV show with the added bonuses of foot-long mullets, Paenguin shooting people in the face, and power ballads that help Robin to express love for his girlfriend. A certain comic book company attempted to block the release of this action-comedy-musical-fun-bomb in 1991. They were unsuccessful." -Joseph A. Ziemba
