Bluray Tuesday!

April 12th 2016

Our favorite day of the week returns. This week brings some new and old horror to add to our collections. This year's The Forest is the biggest main release today, and was also the first horror to be released in 2016. Thankfully this didn't set the tone for a bad year in horror films. So far there has been some great films this year, sadly this one is lower on the list. Be sure to check out our review here. Scream Factory this week releases Village of the Damned for the first time on bluray with new bonus features. If you pre ordered from Scream Factory it came with an awesome 18x24 poster to coincide with its release. Also out from Scream Factory is 1988-1989 slasher double feature of Destroyer and Edge of Sanity, both of which will be blind buys for me but look pretty interesting. Arrow Video is releasing a collectors edition of Bride of Re-Animator that will be limited to only 5,000 copies and includes the unrated and theatrical cuts as well as exclusive packaging. So what will you be buying, renting, or just skipping this week? Let us know and don't forget to check out our Instagram page here. We love conversation and talking all things horror. Until next week.

Bride of Re-Animator: Amazon - $39.95

Herbert West and his reluctant sidekick, Dr. Cain, return for another funny, gory round of bringing back the dead in bits and pieces. This time, West cons Cain into an attempt to rebuild his late girlfriend, using her preserved brain and body parts scrounged from the local hospital. What results is a kind of sideways parody of "The Bride of Frankenstein".
