Bluray Tuesday: Featuring Phoenix Forgotten, Slither & House on Willow Street

August 1st 2017

It's that time of week again and first week of the new month. Lots of collection worthy releases come out today. Scream Factory releases three John Carpenter steelbooks with new artwork. The releases are The Fog, They Live and Escape From New York. Scream Factory also releases new indie horror film House on Willow Street, which was pretty good in my opinion. I'm hoping this release comes with a cool slip cover. A found footage horror film that was in theaters earlier this year hits retailer shelves today too. It's based on true events and titled Phoenix Forgotten. If you missed our review of this one check it out here. James Gunn, known for the Guardians of The Galaxy films, put out a horror comedy in 2006 called Slither and Scream Factory is releasing this as apart of their collector's edition series, loaded with bonus features and new scan. 90's child horror film The Good Son finally hits bluray for the first time. I loved this one growing up and can't wait to re watch in HD. Last year's Shin Godzilla is finally released today and has gotten great reviews. This is one I'm looking forward to checking out as well. 80's indie horror One Dark Night is released from Code Red and on bluray for the first time. This one is a blind buy for me this week, I sadly haven't heard of this but the premise sounds good. So what will you be buying, renting or skipping this week? Let us know in the comments. Until Next Week!
